Hi, I'm Lee
Where I'm From
I have deep roots in this district. My family has been in Susquehanna county for generations. I also have family across Union, Snyder and Northumberland, where I'm now based. I grew up the son of two public school teachers in a log house that my dad built himself, in rural Northeastern PA. I was in the National Honor Society, an Eagle Scout and spent a lot of my youth hunting, fishing and camping in Susquehanna and Wyoming counties. The log house (pictured) is one that I helped my dad build when he moved back to his home town.I know how to roll up my sleeves and get to work, and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty.
I’m proud of my Pennsylvanian public school education. I attended the Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a degree in Philosophy.
My professional background is in logistics and warehousing. Having started as a floor supervisor, I worked my way up and now I run a distribution network for online retail. I’m responsible for hundreds of employees, a multi-million dollar budget and negotiating contracts with national package carriers worth millions of dollars. Prior to logistics, I ran a call center for a water utility contractor. I also taught English as a Second Language in Taiwan for two years after college, and that’s where I met my wife, who was there teaching English as well.
My wife and I were surprised to find how much we had in common given that she’s from a small town in South Africa and I’m from rural PA. We learned many of the same values from our parents even though we didn’t come from the same culture or religion. This is even more proof that we are all more alike than we are different. One of our deepest shared values is our sense of responsibility - for our families, our communities and our country. We think about the world we’re building each day, and we want to make sure that we leave the world a better place for our children and grandchildren.
